As one
or two of you may know, I think Alice Roberts is quite a talented broadcaster(!)…
(ok, I mean, she can do no wrong in my book). I went along to the lunchtime
lecture at the Arnolfini today to hear her talk about “Survivors of the Ice Age”
(filling in the background to her recent BBC series, amongst other things). She
spoke informatively and entertainingly for 50 minutes, without notes, before
answering questions from the audience.
There’s
something incredibly inspiring to hear someone talk with huge passion and
knowledge about their subject. She’s a brilliant communicator... and I want to be a scientist when I grow up.
